VNUS ClosureFAST™

The VNUS ClosureFAST™ procedure is a minimally invasive ambulatory treatment alternative to surgical stripping of the saphenous vein. A small catheter is inserted, usually through a needle-stick in the skin, into the damaged vein. The catheter delivers radiofrequency energy to the vein wall causing it to heat. As the vein warms, it collapses and seals.

The Vein Institute of New Jersey is one of the world authorities on this technique. The vein doctors at the Vein Institute of New Jersey perform this procedure under local anesthesia, usually in less than one hour. The patient leaves for home after VNUS ClosureFAST™ in about 30 minutes, able to resume normal activities.
